Michele McKinnie, Psy.D. is a co-founder of the Big Sky Psychological Consortium. She and Dr. Ryan developed the consortium in 2014 to meet the dual needs of increasing the number of well-trained mental health providers in the state and increasing access to quality mental health care for Gallatin County residents. Dr. McKinnie has worked in Bozeman as a Licensed Psychologist since 2002. She enjoys therapy work with individuals from adolescence through all stages of adulthood and provides depth-oriented psychotherapy that is informed by relational psychodynamics, interpersonal, and attachment theories. Her interests and areas of experience include:

In addition to her clinical work, since 2007 Dr. McKinnie has been involved in leadership roles with the Montana Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. She greatly enjoys the opportunity to be involved in the profession in this capacity and finds these activities enriching and a welcome expansion of her professional identity.

Dr. McKinnie attended Pacific University School of Professional Psychology in Forest Grove, OR, graduating in 2000. She completed her pre-doctoral internship training at Montana State University Counseling and Psychological Services in Bozeman, MT and her post-doctoral training at the Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs, MT.
